You cannot reason with these people, and making a deal with them only gives them time to get the strength to strike again. And again, and again.
I shall look forward to it! The Spanish Civil War is the notable exception to the "rule" that the victors write the history. The Communists and their fellow travelers have got most people (who know anything at all about that war) convinced that the people who prevented a Communist takeover of Spain were the bad guys. So I'll look forward to your novel with much anticipation.
